From March until August of 2018, first-year CDT student Olly visited The University of Sydney as part of Warwick's international IDENTITY collaboration project. The project aims to enhance global collaborations between researchers across the globe working on topics relating to computer vision, digital forensics and people identification. Olly spent his time in Sydney working on computer vision algorithms for autonomous vehicles that identify when a pedestrian crosses the road.
Olly said "Visting The University of Sydney was a fantastic experience. The opportunity to collaborate with a wider research community and immerse myself in a new culture was a truly valuable experience. I am incredibly grateful to everyone involved in the program, and all those the university that made me feel welcome in Sydney."
Olly will spend his next IDENTITY secondment at Michigan State University, from September until December 2018.
